NBC re-branded the Cable Channel Oxygen
NBC Universal acquired the women’s network Oxygen last year and made its first "upfront" presentation to advertisers and has given them a name - “Generation O.” NBC re-branded the cable channel Oxygen a new logo and new tagline which will roll out across all platforms in June 2008. Oxygen is planning to bring original programming like “Seamless Tuesdays” in August 2008. This change will be promoted through advertising campaign on May 5 with outdoor media, ads on subways and phone kiosks, and print in advertising trade magazine. Jason Klarman, General Manager of Oxygen said they would continue to target the 18- to 49-year-old women, with a “hyper focus” on 18- to 34-year-olds.He also said "Oxygen's young, trend obsessed audience is incredibly valuable to advertisers, They want the latest of everything, are willing to pay for it and they love to spread the word."
