Since DIRECTV makes High Definition a priority, why go with a television provider whose HD is lagging behind, such as DISH tv? You have a choice, and HD is the trend of the future, offering cutting-edge, stunning screen images. By 2009 all television sets will be required to be HD-ready. Once people see tv in HD, they usually don’t want to go back .
Though DISH may boast that it is an industry leader in HD, in actuality they offer about 50 fewer HD channels than DIRECTV. DISH does offer a few popular channels in HD, such as HBO HD, A & E HD, food HD and Discovery HD, but the list just doesn’t compare. DISH also has a whole host of lesser known channels in HD, such as Gallery HD, Monsters HD, Treasure HD and Rave HD.
A DIRECTV press release late last year announced that the company will soon have the capacity to launch up to 100 national HD channels, and local HD channels in up to 75 markets, following the launch of its D10 satellite this past summer. The provider has literally gone the extra mile -- into space, that is, to give their customers even greater variety in HD programming. It was well worth the effort. More and more customers are jumping on board with subscriptions and are adding HD Access to their packages.
DIRECTV also leads the way when it comes to the most sports programming in HD, including the NFL Sunday Ticket, NFL Sunday Ticket SuperFan, MLB Extra Innings, NASCAR HotPass, and NCAA Mega March Madness. DISH’s HD sports programming pales in comparison. So if you love sports and love a razor-sharp image, why not go with DIRECTV, the industry leader in HD?
