I just ran across an article about Comcast overcharging 3600 of it's customers in Medway, Ma. According to an article in The Milford Daily News, Comcast has overcharged these subscribers a total of $150,000 over the last 10 years. The money was to pay for the position of station manager. Unfortunately a station manager never existed according to the Daily News.
This article gave me thought for pause. If the station manager was non existent , how could Comcast legally charge for something that never was. What did Comcast do with that money? What options do the town and Comcast subscribers have to try and get their money back? Is Comcast either legally or ethically obligated to either return the money or credit the accounts of those affected by the charges. Kinda makes you wonder what other things might not exist but Comcast is still charging for.
