Yesterday after learning of the Food networks decision to part ways with chef Robert Irvine I got to thinking abou another set of circumstances in which the network released a contestant for providing erroneous information about themselves.
Remember the last season of The Next Food Network Star when Jag Garcia had to withdraw from the competition because of the inaccuracies in his resume. In addition to his military record being inaccurate, he also never completed his studies at the New York Restaurant School.
You would think that after the Jag Garcia debaucle the execs. at food network would have taken the initiative and proceeded to carefuly scrutinize the resumes or references of all their current tv personalities and contestants.
Speaking for myself, the food network has lost all credibility with me. If a simple task such as verifying education and references is currently beyond the capabilities of their current administration perhaps it's time for them to do a major reorganizaton.
In order to regain my trust I think the food network should come out and publicly admit that they did not adequately do their job. Secondly they should bring back Dinner Impossible next season.
