High Definition -- the image defined

It’s true that tv has come a long, long way. People have described DIRECTV’s High Definition programming as “razor-sharp,” “stunning,” “vivid,” “lifelike” and “incredibly detailed.” These descriptions all point to the higher image quality that makes High Definition so superior.

The vividness comes from a screen resolution that is about six times greater than standard definition tv. When watching sports, movies or anything else, the vividness and clarity make the experience that much more satisfying. HD is often described as having theater-like or lifelike clarity, equivalent to being in the font row. In other words, it’s like seeing people up close. You can see the detail in peoples' facial expressions and the intricacy and fluidity of their movements. HD is about being closer to the action and absorbed in the realness of it all. HDTV has extra dimensionality to it with color that takes on an added vitality.

What else makes HD irresistible? Well, the fact that HD is the latest rave makes it quite appealing. Those who like to keep up with emerging technologies and cutting-edge innovations will be blown away by HD. DIRECTV is an industry leader in this razor-sharp, stunningly vivid, lifelike and incredibly detailed visual experience.

You don't have to be a techie to get DIRECTV!

Let’s face it, not everyone is as good at figuring out the technical side of tv. If you subscribe to DIRECTV, you don’t have to worry about any of this. You can let their trained technicians take care of your set-up. You might need a DIRECTV satellite dish and receiver, or that plus an HD or HD/DVR receiver.

Whatever the situation, DIRECTV doesn’t require you to have any special technical know-how. You can just sit back, relax and enjoy the show once everything is all hooked up and ready. You won’t run into the customer service problems of most cable companies.

Installation is free and trained technicians know exactly what they’re doing and don’t skimp on service. You won’t be left hanging for hours or days as with other providers. Not only is installation free, but the HD & DVR equipment is free after an instant online rebate. Being a national and well-established company, DIRECTV is able to offer these kinds of perks. Most companies can’t afford to do this on a long-term basis. Note that there still may be an HD or HD/DVR service fee, depending on the package, but these are very low monthly rates.

DIRECTV is all about making it easier on your end. Why not take advantage of these special offers? Whether you’re subscribing for the first time or receiving an HD upgrade, let DIRECTV take care of all the technical stuff.

Make HD a priority in 2008!

It's a great idea to get DIRECTV's High Definition (HD) programming in 2008. This year will be the year to do it, as by the end of 2007 DIRECTV plans to offer 100 channels in HD, leading the way in crystal clear programming. Why not go for super clarity?
