DIRECT TV: the experience speaks for itself!
You're flipping a coin again. Let's face it, DIRECTV and Cox cable tv are both competing to be your television provider. The myriad of pros and cons may boggle the mind. But there are good reasons why 16 million customers nationwide have already chosen DIRECTV, the nation's #1 satellite tv provider.
A July 26, 2007 online article at SmartBrief.com talks about how more than 60% of Cox customers subscribed to more than one service and more than 28% of customers subscribed to the triple bundle of telephone, internet and tv service. In all there were 2.96 million digital cable subscribers, representing 11.9% growth in this one area. Yet even though their customer base is growing, there's really no comparison to DIRECTV's 16 million customers!

To dish or not to dish, that is the question!
DIRECTV requires a satellite dish and Cox doesn't. But think of it this way - it's the dish that provides 100% digital picture and sound quality. Don't worry about losing quality from analog signals. Cox, on the other hand, uses both digital and analog signals, despite the name "digital cable."
TV with lifelike HD on DIRECTV and Cox
DIRECTV requires multiple HD/DVR receivers for advanced features service on more than one tv in your house. Cox requires only one receiver for all advanced features, allowing reception on multiple tv sets in the house for networks like ESPN, Disney, TNT, Lifetime & Discovery.
DIRECTV leads in HD, offering up to 150 channels in HD over 900 hours per week. Several Cox channels are broadcast in HD but nowhere near as many as are available with DIRECTV.
DIRECTV's high-ranking customer service
Let the polls tell you something! DIRECTV has been ranked #1 by J. D. Power among cable and satellite providers for customer satisfaction several years in a row. The University of Michigan's American Customer Satisfaction Index has placed DIRECTV on the top of the list of television providers for the past six years, while cable didn't even make the list.
DIRECTV's exclusive programming
DIRECTV has carved out a unique niche by offering exclusive programming, whereas cable has not forged these exclusive, on-demand partnerships. DIRECTV lets you view the NFL Sunday Ticket, the FX series before it airs and the newest musical events only on CD USA.
Tv direct from the sports arena ...
Are you an avid sports fan? DIRECTV surpasses digital cable companies such as Cox in the sports arena. DIRECTV taps into 25 specialty and regional sports networks. Whether you follow the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL or MLS, DIRECTV won't disappoint you. Specialty packages include the NASCAR HotPass, NBA League Pass, NCAA Mega March Madness and MLB Extra Innings.
Avid football fans can get DIRECTV's exclusive NFL Sunday Ticket with up to 14 NFL games per week, available in HD as the SuperFan package!
Cox offers seven professional and college sports packages but nothing as extensive as DIRECTV. You'll get just the basics without the exclusive deals.
International Programming
DIRECTV's International programming has a global appeal, comprising over 30 different language networks. Customers enjoy Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Korean, Hindi, Russian, and many more language channels. Cox, on the other hand, offers programming in just a handful of the most popular languages. In certain areas the new 24-hour Middle Eastern network is available.
